Why do cops assume that people are criminals based on their appearance?
Cops are always assuming that people who dress with baggy clothes are druggies and steal. Or they think that they can't trust them cause the way they look. If someone has a bunch of piercings the cops just think that they are some punk kid who doesn't want to listen to anyone. Half the time it is true. But seriously who likes being told what to do? No one wants to have to do everything the cops say. The cops think that they can say whatever they want to a kid and get away with it because they have a stupid badge. I have had a cop almost punch me in the face cause I called him a pig. And I was in handcuffs when he did that to! I think that cops need to get in trouble for what they do to. Some cops do worse things than the kids they arrest. I mean cops get to shoot people and if a regular person shot someone they would go to prison for a long time. Cops don't get in trouble for anything they do cause they just make up a story and everyone believes them over the kid just cause they are the law. Even they judge believes them. When the kid tries to explain their side of the story the cops and judge never believe you so there is no point in trying to fight with the law. Even if they are wrong they won't believe you unless you have solid proof that they are wrong!

Yeah i believe that. Even though I have never gotten arrested or any one in my family. Cops mostly don't believe Hispanics and Blacks because they are the ones that dress that way the most but they should talk to them first and see how their personality is before they start judging.
ReplyDeleteIts a cops job to enforce laws some cops might go over board but most of them do not. Cops are good people who get paid to help people, most of them take the job so they can help people not so they can hurt people. Cops don't judge people for what they wear, they just have to be ready for anything.

ReplyDeleteLet's talk about what shouldn't go online . . .
ReplyDeleteyou need to update your pole what if you only want Marijuana to be legal for sertan cancer victims i think you should get a lisanse (like the disability tags for cars)
ReplyDeleteYou answered your own question when you said "half of the time its true" However, I disagree that its only HALF of the time. Its probably more like 80%.
ReplyDeleteFace it, Profiling works, and is a valuable crime enforcement tool. Even when you talk about racial profiling, it works. When you dont allow cops to do these things, you are making it way tougher for them to do their job and also making their jobs less safe. A recent study showed the statistic that about 73% of cars in los angeles with young blacks in it would have an illegal gun. Now, if you are a cop in LA, you better be treating all cars filled with young blacks like they have a gun, because chances are the do. Otherwise, you will end up a dead cop.
From reading your little blog, one thing is appearant, you are still very young and naive. Let me give you a simple truth in life that youw would have enventually learn by yourself. When you choose too dress like trash, you will always be treated like trash by society. If you dress like a criminal, you will be treated like a criminal by society. If you dress like a druggie, you will be treated like a druggie by society. Nothing will ever change this aspect of society. Its simply human nature.
Look, I know its fun, when young, to be "the rebel" or the non-conformist. Thats part of being immature and having fun while young. But know this, eventually you are going to have to conform to society to succeed. I myself was a punk rocker when young and immature. Sure, it was fun, but at about 23, I learned something valuable. The true "unconformists" that never grow up or change, usually end up being called "homeless bums"
